As part of the “Triumph family” we provide the best coaches both on a local and national level. The focus on wrestling development runs parallel with the goal of creating good men and women off the mat. We will always strive to create an environment that is conducive to learning and safe by providing not only the best coaches but an adequate number of coaches per class. Quality we always be first and foremost at Triumph!

At Triumph, the coaches’ dedication to our members produces several nationally ranked and division one commits yearly. We have trained multiple NCAA All-Americans, over 10 state champs and over a 100 state placers.

Nick Roy

Founder

Triumph High School Coach & Youth Coach

As the founder and head coach of Triumph Wrestling, Nick’s level of commitment to his ‘wrestling family’ has always been his number one priority. He can be found at the club training members at Group Training, coaching private lessons, running camps and offering advice during video review.

Nick’s philosophy centers on building champions not just in wrestling, but in life.

Kyle Kiss

Triumph Head High School & Youth Coach

Partner of Triumph Wrestling, Coach Kiss brings over 10 years of D1 Coaching experience to the club. Coach Kiss was an Assistant Coach at UNC Chapel Hill, the Associate Head Coach at Clarion University, as well as an Assistant Coach at Rutgers University. Coach Kiss is currently the RTC Coach at Rutgers University.

Kenny Theobold

Triumph Youth Development Director & High School Coach 

Ken combines elite competitive experience with a passion for mentorship. As an NCAA All-American and Big Ten Medal of Honor recipient, he emphasizes technical mastery, mental toughness, and championship-level preparation. Kenny focuses on helping wrestlers grow both on and off the mat.

Jason Nase

Triumph High School & Head Freestyle Coach

Coach Nase is the current Assistant Coach at Wall High School. Coach Nase is a local Jersey Shore native who was a state running up in High School at Point Boro. Coach Nase went on to become an NCAA All-American at Rider University. He also served as an Assistant Cocah at Rider University for multiple years. Coach Nase is our full time freestyle coach and currently serves on USANJ coaching staff.

Mikey Labriola

Triumph High School Coach

Mikey helps leads Triumph’s high school program while serving on Rutgers University’s coaching staff. Labriola wrestled from 2017-23 at Nebraska, where he produced 120 collegiate victories and established himself as one of the top 174-pound wrestlers in the country. During his time in Lincoln, Labriola was a five-time Big Ten place winner, five-time national qualifier and five-time All-American for the Cornhuskers. During his final season with the Cornhuskers, Labriola went 30-2 en route to runner-up finish at the Big Ten and national championships.

Zach Elam

Triumph High School Coach

Zach Elam joins Triumph Wrestling as a two-time NCAA All-American and former Missouri standout. Zach is currently training for his Olympic aspirations and is current RTC Athlete at Rutgers University. He brings elite-level heavyweight experience and serves as a role model and training partner for wrestlers of all levels.

Ryan Preisch

Triumph High School Coach

An NCAA All-American at Lehigh, Ryan works personally with a lot of our upper-weights at Triumph. Ryan is a four time NCAA qualifier and former PA High School standout. Coach works full time as an Environmental Engineer and now lives locally on the Jersey Shore.

Nick Visicaro

Triumph High School Coach

Coach Nick has been apart of Triumph since we have opened. Nick a former 2x state champ wrestled on the #1 Team in the state Long Branch in high school. Nick also went on to become an NCAA Qualifier at Rutgers. He currently works as a State Trooper and lives locally.

Brett Donner

Triumph High School Coach

Coach Donner was a long time Triumph member as kid growing up. He wrestled for Wall High School where he was ranked nationally, finished third in the state tournament twice in 2016 and 2014. Brett was a Super 32 runner-up and fifth-place finisher at the 2014 Flo Nationals. Coach Donner was also a two year starter at Rutgers University.

Dylan Shawver

Triumph High School Coach

Current Rutgers Wrestler Coach Shawver has been with Triumph Wrestling for several years now. Coach Shawver is a Big 10 Champ and NCAA All-American. He also represents the Puerto Rican national team for world competitions. Coach does one on one training at the club and helps run high school classes.

Mike Morales

Triumph High School & Youth Coach 

Mike years of experience to the club. Mike served as a volunteer coach both at Maryland University and Rider. He focuses on mostly individual development.

Luke Balina

Triumph High School Coach

Coach Luke was a Triumph member as kid growing up. He was apart of the Long Branch’s #1 ranked team in the state. Coach wrestled collegiately at TCNJ for four years. He is currently a teacher in Long Branch.

Eric Morley

Triumph Head Girls Coach & Youth Coach

Eric Morley brings 15+ years of coaching experience at youth, high school, and club levels. He emphasizes fundamentals, technical development, and team building, while preparing athletes for success in competition and beyond. Coach servers as our head girls coach.

Dae’Sean Brown

Triumph High School Coach

Coach Dae’Sean is a former Triumph alum and Neptune High School standout. Dae Dae has been a consistent Coach with Triumph for the past few years. Coach also wrestled Collegiately at Johnson & Wales. He currently works with the US Postal Service.

Robert Kanniard

Triumph High School & Youth Coach

Coach Kanniard was a long time Triumph member as kid growing up. He wrestled Wall High School where he finished a great career as a State Champ. Coach wrestled collegiately at Rutgers were he was a two year starter and ranked in the top 25 nationally.

Randall Totten

Triumph Youth Coach

Randall has over 20 years of coaching experience from youth to NCAA Division III. He is currently an Assistant Coach at Red Bank Catholic High School and previously coached at Johnson & Wales University, where he helped produce four Division III All-Americans.

Jake Benner

Triumph High School  & Youth Coach

Coach Jake was a long time Triumph member as kid growing up. He wrestled for Ocean High School where he was ranked nationally and was a two time state finalist. Jake won a State Championship his junior year. Coach Jake wrestled collegiately at Rutgers University and now works for ADP.

Shane Cartagena-Walsh

Triumph High School & Youth Coach

Shane a long time Triumph member helps coach during his free time away from being an Athlete at Rutgers University. Shane was a High School State Placer and now currently is a Nationally Ranked Collegiate wrestler at Rutgers.

Noah Michaels

Triumph High School & Youth Coach

Noah is a Triumph alum from Red Bank Catholic High School who currently coaches during his free time away from Rider University as a collegiate wrestler. Noah was a state placer in high school and is the current starter at Rider University.

John Finnerty

Triumph Coach

John Finnerty joins Triumph Wrestling with a decorated collegiate career at Division II, bringing technical skill, competitive toughness, and a wealth of experience to our athletes. He focuses on teaching fundamentals, match strategy, and confidence-building for wrestlers at all levels.
